Plot: When hazardous waste accidently enters our food chain, the only outcome is a radioactive monster that can't be stopped... Or Can It??

The creators call it - A rockabilly-esque horror story to make your eyeballs "POP!"

Let's learn about Paul's thoughts on the horror comic and his work-

Q.1) How did your experience as a filmmaker and a podcaster help with co-writing this horror comic?

Paul Dulski - Well, as a fan of B rated cheesy horror and classics from Alfred Hitchcock, and other known titles. I think it just helped with trying to figure out something that we haven't really seen before. Although it's hard nowadays to really come up with something unique at times, it's nice to look at other objects around to see what could be "created". Going into this with Mike, I felt like we were inspired by the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" film that is cheesy and just fun to watch!

Q.2) What is the best thing about working with Mike?

Paul Dulski - Easy to work with, and he knows what he wants and executes the story just by telling him the monster. Literally by mentioning the Popcorn Monster, I once thought of. He completely wrapped up a story for us within 20 mins, and the last thing he mentioned before he began work. He had already thought of a Sequel, and this comic hasn't even been released yet. I also think we both enjoy the classic, old school films that aren't big budget and we tried to have fun.

Q.3) Colored comics or black & white comics- which one do you prefer and why?

Paul Dulski - Honestly I'd love to do a colored comic one day, but with the cost of stuff going up and colored comics makes it that much harder. As black and white, it is a classic throwback to the old films, Universal Monsters... Nosferatu which is also a silent film. I think the "silentness" mixed with our black and white stories I help create, I would hope catches the readers eyes. Nodding at the fact that it's what we were grown up with at times, black and white shows, example The Munsters.

Q.4) What makes your comic a must read?

Paul Dulski - If anyone is a fan of old nostalgic black and white, fun, goofy, cheesy and bad but good acting. I think they would enjoy this throwback to what we had growing up, while keeping the black and white style alive. If not, then hopefully they don't "pop" at the sight of the monster itself.

Now, we will dive M.J. Myers' mind and see what inspires him and his work-

Q.1) What is the inspiration behind your comic?

M.J. Myers - Mainly sci-fi movies from the 1950-60s. Where the special effects were goofy and sometimes the story plot was goofy. Well, Paul and I wanted to do a “goofy” horror story while paying homage to these classic films. So when you read From Beyond… The Killer Popcorn Monster you’ll find references to The Blob, Aliens, Children of the Corn, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and a few others.

Q.2) Your art style is unique. What comics inspired your art style?

M. J. Myers - I’m a big Superman fan and I’d have to say Curt Swan, Jerry Ordway and John Byrne art influenced me the most. But I would also mention Frank Miller on Daredevil, Mike Mignola doing Hellboy, and Mike Allred work on Madman.

Q.3) How was your experience while working with Paul on this project?

M.J. Myers - He is an amazing person to work with. He gave me a lot of freedom and input with this comic.
Paul is a treasure trove of horror movie knowledge and he has a lot of great ideas and it was really exciting to work on this project.

Q.4) What makes your comic a must read?

M.J. Myers - I think whether it’s a movie, a book, or a TV show, a person wants to be taken on a journey. They also want to make sure they get their money’s worth. I think “From Beyond…” is definitely worth people’s time and money. This comic is gonna be a wild ride!

That's all for the question and answers! I have read the comic and I must say that it is among the most enjoyable horror comics you'll get. My full no-spoiler review of the horror comic will be published on September 1st so please stay tuned and as Paul says, stay scary!
